TURNING VISION INTO ACTION

For years, I felt the pull to share my vision, successes, and the lessons learned along the way with individuals and organizations. I started numerous times, as evidenced by countless outlines, videos, and nearly completed websites. The drive to help others was always present. I envisioned standing before audiences, sharing my stories of triumphs and failures, and, most importantly, how embracing my true self led to flourishing.

I developed systems to guide others to success without compromising authenticity. I contemplated branding, psychology, and processes—all of which I was eager to share. Yet, despite being close, on the field, near the track, I couldn't quite reach the starting line.

So, how did I finally begin? To answer that, let's start at the beginning.

TURNING VISION INTO ACTION

Growing up on a farm in rural South Carolina, nestled between Conway and Georgetown, my childhood was steeped in cornfields, soybeans, tobacco, and the kind of hard work that instills resilience and curiosity. I graduated as salutatorian of my high school and earned dual degrees in Finance and Marketing from Francis Marion University. Embracing my rural roots, I was honored as both the County Farm Bureau Queen and the Watermelon Queen.

Law school at the University of South Carolina followed, with aspirations of a big-city legal career where I could leverage my analytical skills and ascend the corporate ladder. However, life had different plans.

In 1998, the passing of my father, Winfred, shifted everything. His loss drew me back home to the Grand Strand and back to the law in an unforeseen way.

BUILDING INDIGO FAMILY LAW

Upon returning to South Carolina, I served as an Assistant Solicitor for the 15th Circuit, handling criminal cases in Horry and Georgetown Counties. By 2001, I ventured out independently, founding what began as Williams Law Firm, which eventually evolved into Indigo Family Law.

Starting a business from scratch was challenging. Initially, I managed everything, bringing in about $200,000 annually. I envisioned greater impact, authenticity, and success, but life presented further challenges.

For years, I adhered to the conventional mold of what I believed a lawyer should be: polished, reserved, and perpetually "professional." Yet, I was miserable.

The turning point came when I ceased trying to be someone else and embraced my true self. I began communicating candidly with clients, colleagues, and even judges—eschewing sugarcoating and pretense. I abandoned rules that didn't serve me and started embracing authenticity as a strategy.

This shift transformed my business. By hiring capable individuals and delegating responsibilities, I grew that modest law firm into a thriving, seven-figure practice by presenting myself as genuine and unapologetic.

EMBRACING AUTHENTICITY AND EMPOWERING OTHERS

Today, I am more than a lawyer or business owner. I am a coach, speaker, and advocate for authenticity and boldness, symbolized by The Radiant Plume.

I understand the feeling of being stuck, trying to fit into molds that don't align with one's true self, and the paralyzing grip of self-doubt. But I also know the liberation and potential that come from embracing who you are, gaining clarity on your desires, and taking bold, unapologetic action.

My mission is straightforward: to help others do the same.

WHAT I BELIEVE

Authenticity is success

When you show up fully—quirks, flaws, and brilliance—you tap into unmatched energy and creativity.

Embrace Failure

Mistakes are not failures; they are lessons. If you're not failing, you're not pushing boundaries.

Take Action

The spark ignites when you stop waiting and start doing..

Challenge the Norm

Disregard rules that don't serve you. Forge your own path.
